We are still taking summer registration! To see our schedule, go to www.compassdance.org and click on summer schedule. You can print out the registration form and mail it in or just use our online registration form. http://www.compassdance.org/registration We organize summer differently than we do our school calendar schedule. Everyone travels and goes to camps, so in the summer you can sign up for the weeks you are actually in town and you ONLY pay for those classes. When you register, please let us know which weeks you are coming to classes. This will help us know if we have enough students to hold the class.
Please sign up for summer camps! Here’s a brief description of the camps. During the Ages 4-6 camp, June 11-15, the students will learn ballet and tap and prepare a ballet and tap dance to show the parents at the end of the week. To keep it fun, the girls will also hear “Angelina Ballerina” stories with a life lesson and Bible verse attached, so they learn a ballet story and God’s word together! They will also play some fun dance games, learn terminology, lots of stretching for flexibility, and do fun dances!
The Ages 7-9 camp, June 18-22, will incorporate ballet and jazz technique. The students will also learn ballet/worship and jazz choreography that they will show parents at the end of the week.
The Ages 10-18 camp, June 25-29, will incorporate ballet and modern technique. This camp is designed for students that have danced before; however, we are open to accepting students that are newer to dance as well.
April Ballroom Session

Ballroom! Our new ballroom session will be April 5th, 19th, 26th and May 3rd. Thursday nights from 7:30 -8:30 pm. $72 per couple, $36 per single. GREAT DATE NIGHT!!!!!! April 13 at 6:30 p.m. the Compass Ensemble dancers will perform in a benefit concert for Dancelink, sending dancers on the mission field, at Operation Mobilization (285 Lynnwood Ave. Tyrone). Doors open at 6:15 p.m. for seating. No charge for admission, but a love offering will be taken to help raise funds for dance in missions.
May 19 at 3 p.m. Compass will hold its annual “Praise the King” recital at Heritage Christian Church (in Fayetteville). Doors will open at 2:30 p.m. for seating. Invite your friends and family. No charge for admission. We will, however, take a love offering to help offset the expenses of renting the facility.

We have started a few new classes, and until March will also accept new students to our existing classes (as long as there is room).
New classes:
Monday, Musical Theatre class-meets from 7:30-8:30 p.m. for ages 12 and up.
Wednesday, Stretch and Flexibility class, meets from 12-1 p.m. for ages 13 and up.
And as always we have Thursday night ballroom from 7:30-8:30 p.m. for ages 13 and up.

The Compass Ensemble dancers will dance in a Christmas themed presentation on December 2 at Operation Mobilization. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. for a 6:30 p.m. performance. A donation will be collected to help send dancers on the mission field through Dancelink.
Dec. 12-16 is parent observation week at Compass. Come and sit in on your child’s class and watch them as they learn.

Hip Hop Class offered in July

We’re excited to announce that for the next three Mondays we will offer an Intermediate Hip Hop class and a Teen/Adult Hip Hop class. Come join us! Monday July 11, 18, and 25. Intermediate Hip Hop (for 8-12 year olds) from 5-6 p.m. and Teen/Adult Hip Hop (for ages 13 and up) from 6-7 p.m. Hudson Frisby, a dance major with Belhaven College, will be teaching. Lots of fun and great exercise. $8/class. Please pay at the front desk each Monday. $18.75 if you want to pay for all three weeks at once.
No dance experience required!
We would love for you to pass this information along to your friends, church family, home-school network, etc.
This is a drop-in class, so no RSVP required. However, if you know for sure you are planning to come, please let us know by e-mailing info@compassdance.org. This information will help the teacher plan.
Summer Classes

We’ve had enough students sign up for summer classes, so we can keep every class on the schedule. With that said, we appreciate those of you that signed up by deadline-THANK YOU! Now that we know we have enough students to keep each class, we will gladly still accept summer registration for June. You can even show up the day of the class and pay at the front desk! If possible, let us know beforehand, so we can plan better. Summer schedule below if you need to refresh your memory of what we are offering.
